To improve Manhattans mass transportation we would like to introduce Skylink, an above-ground rapid transport monorail system.  Skylink will easily link commuters around the perimeters of New York and will efficiently connect the east and west sides while providing a safer, brighter, and more enjoyable commute for all. While leading the way in technology, the infrastructure will be seamlessly integrated into the existing architecture of Manhattan.

 

Skylink will help alleviate commuter congestion from New York’s crowded streets, roads, and subways by providing an alternative to existing modes of low-cost fare, flood-proof, and accessible transportation. Let’s usher in a new, safer, and more efficient future together. Similar elevated people mover systems exist at New York’s Airport locations. Skylink will utilize energy-efficient solar panels and operate autonomously.

 

Skylink cars and stations are designed for transparency and will have several safety measures including sliding glass partitions along the station platform that will remain closed until train doors are completely open preventing unnecessary accidents from occurring, unlike the current subway system.
